Recording Narration in PowerPoint

PowerPoint includes the feature to record narration for each slide in a presentation and hands re-record narration for a slide. This is the easiest way to record a narrated PowerPoint presentation.

Here are three important tips before you begin recording in PowerPoint:

  • If you are using the older ppt format of PowerPoint file, be sure to convert the file to the pptx Earlier recording in PowerPoint. This is covered in each of the guides listed below.

  • Tin can't be captioned, but if a student needs captions it can rapidly exist exported every bit video and captioned

Embedding a PowerPoint in Canvass using OneDrive

OneDrive can be used to embed a narrated PowerPoint in Canvass. Students are able to view the presentation in their browser without installing boosted software. Recorded narration plays automatically on each slide, and all transitions, animations, and embedded media are preserved.

If you will use OneDrive to embed the PowerPoint file, you MUST use a personal OneDrive business relationship. Students will not be able to admission the PowerPoint if you use your OU OneDrive account.

Exporting a PowerPoint Presentation every bit a Video
