I agree with CULTLEADER, that fat people tend to gain mass easier therefor they gain muscle but they also gain it with some fat whatsoever. And as for skinny people it really depends why the person is skinny (deasises, metabolism, etc).

Well most fat people are atleast part ENDO, so yes it is easier for them to put on muscle. But it is also easy to put on fat.

I'd say fat because you're accustomed to over-eating and therefore under-eating will never hinder your gains. Most skinny people do not see any progress merely because they are not eating enough, and calculating their calories wrong.

Fat people can always lift more weight it seems. My guesses would be that a certain % of excess calories are converted to muscle (meaning not all calorie surplus' turn to fat), theyre heavier, which in turn requires more muscle to do daily/physical activites, and lastly the fact that their body can probably convert a lot of their fat to muscle without a caloric surplus
